If you want to really learn Javascript, Douglas Crockford’s book Javascript: The Good Parts is one of two that you need to read. There’s already a free chapter on the YUI Blog.
The other book is John Resig’s upcoming Javascript book, Secrets of the Javascript Ninja. It will be out later this year, but is already looking awesome.
Preorder both of them, they will be worth it.
